We’ve arrested a man on suspicion of drug supply offences after weapons and cash were found inside a home in Tamworth.
Officers from our major and organised crime proactive team searched an address in Bolehall yesterday (Monday 22 December). They found a machete, a BB gun and more than £7,000 in cash.
A 23-year-old man, from Tamworth, has been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of cocaine. He has been questioned in custody and bailed while our investigation continues.
We’re working proactively to investigate high harm offences as part of our Operation Target commitment. Nearly 400 people have been arrested in connection with these offences between July this year and the year before, and more will be coming as we continue to target organised crime in local communities.
